Repair Your Smile with Dentures | Cobb Dental Associates

At Cobb Dental Associates, our dental team is dedicated to providing high-quality removable dentures to both new and existing patients who have experienced the loss of some or all of their teeth. We understand the impact that tooth loss can have on your confidence and oral health, which is why we offer custom-crafted dentures tailored to meet your specific needs.

To begin the process of creating dentures, our experienced team will take a series of impressions of your jaw, teeth, and gums, along with precise measurements. These impressions will be used to create a custom model of your future dentures. We meticulously craft and adjust the model until the color, shape, and fit are perfect for you. Once the model is finalized, it is sent to our trusted dental lab, where the permanent denture is cast.

There are two primary types of dentures: Conventional Full Dentures and Partial Dentures, each serving different tooth replacement needs.

Conventional Full Dentures are an excellent choice for patients who require replacement for all upper and/or lower teeth. After your gums have fully healed from any necessary extractions, we will take impressions and measurements to create a custom model of your dentures. Once the denture is fabricated, we will fit it to your mouth, making any minor adjustments needed for a secure and comfortable fit.

Partial Dentures, also known as Dental Bridges, replace one or more missing teeth. In addition to the aesthetic benefits, bridges help prevent surrounding teeth from shifting or rotating into the empty spaces caused by tooth loss. A standard bridge involves placing a crown on adjacent teeth and attaching a replacement tooth to those crowns, matching your natural teeth for a seamless smile.

Following the placement of your dentures, it’s essential to follow up with our dentist as recommended. We may need to make adjustments over time to ensure proper fit and comfort. Regular cleaning with a soft bristle toothbrush and non-abrasive cleanser is crucial to prevent plaque buildup. Typically, dentures should be replaced every 5-10 years, and our dentist can evaluate whether your dentures need to be refit or replaced.
